Billing

How credits are used

Successful search	Yes	Credit cost depends on the search type, engine, country and cache status.
Upstream timeout	No	Reserved credits are released.
Search failure	No	Reserved credits are released.
Invalid parameters	No	Rejected before the search runs.
Insufficient credits	No	Request is rejected.
Cached search result	No	Cache hits are free under the default credit rates. Without an Idempotency-Key, a retry is a new request.

Searches return INSUFFICIENT_CREDITS until your available balance covers the request.
